HeatNexus represented at the First GHHIN Southeast Asia Heat Health Forum

Dr. Rupa Kumar Kolli, Co-Principal Investigator of the ‘Economic and Health Impact Assessment of Heat Adaptation Actions: Case Studies from India’ – a HeatNexus project, presented on “Early Warning: Climate Knowledge and Services for Early Action” at the inaugural GHHIN Southeast Asia Heat Health Forum, held in Singapore.
With over 250 experts in attendance, the forum marked the launch of the Southeast Asia Hub and focused on strategies to tackle heat-related health risks. Dr. Kolli emphasized the vital role of climate information services and early warning systems in supporting decision-making and reducing climate-related risks. He highlighted the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) and the importance of cascading climate knowledge to local levels through impact-based forecasting.
